To make it easy to hold, the shape is designed to be widest slightly closer to the nib than the center.
The wood has been sanded from coarse to 600 grit. This gives it a moderate sheen while still allowing you to feel the natural texture of the wood.
The surface has been cut repeatedly, checking to ensure there are no irregularities.
The finish uses Kinu Oil. The main ingredient is rice-derived, tasteless, odorless, and gentle on the skin.

Also known as: Laos Rosewood
It is said to be a legume tree from Laos, but it is unclear whether it belongs to the genus *Caesalpinia* (rosewood).
It has a wood grain similar to Murasakitagayasan (Burmese Rosewood), but it has a fragrance.
