Lagoona Blue Custom Lux Monster High Doll handsewn Gown inset Eyes OOAK G1 MH

The base of this art doll is a Monster High G1 Lagoona Blue. Repainting of her face included watercolor pencils, acrylic paint, and chalk pastels (sealed in layers with MSC). I made her inset eyes from resin, paint, and gems, she has lashes as well. She has blue and gold resin leg fins, and I gave her some light body blushing with chalk pastels (again, all sealed with MSC). She has a removable yarn weft wig of shoulder-length exaggerated beach curls in sand, teal, + yellow.
Skirt is hand sewn from assorted fabrics (satin, shimmery polyester, silk, tulle with a black cotton underlayer) and adorned at the bottom with gold and black fabric and beads. I was deeply inspired by couture fashion designer Guo Pei in this case. Velcro closure in the back. Her top is hand sewn in shimmery purple polyester, with a pronounced ribbon accent in navy. There is a ribbon leg holder underneathe to keep it in place under the skirt. Velcro closure in back.
