This beautiful heart-shaped piece is an Ethiopian water opal. I briefly removed the opal from water to photograph, however, it is imperative that it stays in water to prevent cracking and damage. It is meant to be displayed in a water-filled glass jar or vase. There are methods to seal water opals so they can be removed from water, but this particular piece has not undergone any such process.
Unfortunately, I'm not an expert so I'm not entirely sure what constitutes damage, however, the piece appears to be in good condition with no visible chips. There may be small cracks or scratches. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
