BOLESLAWIEC Polish Pottery Peacock & Polka Dot Blue/Green Oval Casserole Dish.
A lovely Handmade 14” x 10.5” Oval with the Hand-painted Polish patterns of: polka dot on inside and peacock eye around the exterior. It is still has vivid blue and green colors and lovely shiny glaze, though in used condition. No chips or cracks. It has some crazing on inside of casserole. The inside walls have deepened in color from cooking but still glossy and slippery to touch. May have been from a recipe with wine or blueberries. See photos. Maker’s mark.
Polish pottery, specifically from Bolesławiec, Poland. The mark includes the letters "WR" within an oval, topped with a crown-like design, and the words "HAND-MADE IN POLAND" below
It is lead and cadmium-free and safe for use in ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, and freezers. Known for being chip-resistant and durable.
