This vintage Majolica soup tureen serving bowl from California Pottery is a beautiful piece of ceramic art pottery, perfect for any mid-century modern decor.
Fun to display when not in use.
Made with ceramic and porcelain, the tureen is a lovely shade of mottled brown and features tab handles, a ribbed, Ringware Design and a hand painted fruit-embellished top with a banana, an orange, purple grapes, a pomegranate and pear.
It has a capacity of 2 quarts and comes with a bowl and lid, making it a great addition to any dinnerware collection.
The tureen is an original piece from the 1960s and is in excellent shape despite being used. The fruit on top does show some glaze crazing and there are one or two spots of missing glaze. No chips or cracks.

Measures 8.5" tall with lid x 10 5/8" across the tab handles. By itself the bowl is 4.5” tall x 8.25" diameter
Very solidly made weighing almost 6 pounds.
