1830s Antique STERLING SILVER English BIRMINGHAM CUT CRYSTAL GLASS Bath Salts DRESSER JAR.
Absolutely stunning cut crystal jar with finely detailed enamel guilloche and hand painted cameo of a woman dressed in Victorian style. There is amazing tiny detail on the woman, and there appears to be brass or even possibly gold in her sleeve and in her hat. Incredible! Sterling Silver hinged lid closes tightly with a small “click”.
Hallmarks tell us that this piece was made in Birmingham in 1830, and it is marked STERLING as well.
The cut crystal pattern includes intricate diamonds, fans, and stars throughout, and the bottom has a single star design.
Truly a one of a kind piece!
Measures approx 4 x 2.5"
